I have the same problem and finally found a solution. The squeak comes from the strut moving against the rubber mount under hood. Open the hood , find the strut mount and take some wd 40 and let it soak through the rubber mount. When it's cold the rubber is stiffer. It worked for me.

I would not use WD40 since it is a petroleum product that may degrade the rubber parts. Get a can of Silicone lube and spread an oz or two into small cup. Pour it into the top opening of the front strut. Drive the car around the block a few times and wait for squeaks to stop. You will need to do this once every few months.
