2007 and 2008 LX radios will be an exact match. The earlier LX radios will work but they will not match the dash in appearance.
Stock Stereo Interchangability
Does anyone know if a stock stereo out of earlier Elements will fit a 2008 LX?
There are quite a few stock stereos on Ebay, but none are the same year and model as my own. I have to find a replacement stock stereo for my lease return or I will be charged $562 for the stock unit being replaced with aftermarket.

or you could get one out of any year lx and get the metra 99-7863 dash kit that comes with the u-shaped surround to make the same kit design (older style radio shape) fit in the newer (07-up) dashes. you just wouldnt be using the radio mounting, just the surround. see link below
