I hate the idea of leaving wires flopping around on my floor when I take my sub out so I came up with this solution for my E.

When I take the sub out - all that's left is the jack.

I just ran the wires under the floor and up the wall and into the back of the jack. Worked out great.

that is really slick, way to go. you have definately got this audio-mod thing down. I envy you, as every little thing I do takes far too long.

I put a bazooka in the back of mine. It doesn't rattle the car, but it rounds out the sound. and takes up no room.
On a side note, after an hour of trying to get through that firewall gasket, I gave up and and went under the car with the power wire. How did you do it?

Well, my sub needed no power running to it - only speaker wire since my Amp is elsewhere - a little different than your Bazooka tube that probably has a built-in Amp but I still had to run power from the battery thru the firewall. You can see how my wires are routed in the pic below...

eMass, I messed with that very gasket that's featured in your pic for a while. I tried a coathanger, thick wire, etc, but I never could find the wire on the inside the car. Did you have to remove any part of the dash? How did you get the wires through?

There is a hole in the body for the plastic step-plate snap under the suicide door that i ran the wire through. Then I went along under the car and up the firewall. it was easy, but I worry about errant branches or stones cutting the wire.

I remember using a coat hanger and a shop light to see the hole from the interior and I know I took out the plastic cladding under the dash so I could see better but i can't remember what the interior wire route was.

Maybe one of these days I'll pull it apart and take some pics since I've had a few people ask me about this now.
