Sunroof latch handle conversion

Has been discussed, especially for the rear side windows, but afaik it has not actually been done. You might want to start with Odyssey rear corner windows. Dunno about the current generation, but they used to operate electrically on the EX.

I have given that some thought too. Since I do have an Ody I can take a real close look at it. There would have to be a second switch to make it operable from the rear as well.... From a construction position it will certainly be possible if one is willing to cut and weld...

I added the external wind deflectors. These allow me to keep the windows cracked about 3/4" without allowing obvious easy access to the vehicles interior...

I've started trying to look at options to just put a mechanical extension down the middle of the ceiling/headliner so I can at least just open from the driver seat. Seems like with a mounted bracket and a couple of attached rods, it would be do-able. Just not convinced it would be something I would actually like seeing in there vs an electric power option.

How about a garage door opener and some duct tape? Uncle Red automates all kinds of things that way.

This one is one my "next mod" list. My thinking is to fit a short throw (3-4") 12V linear actuator to open/close the glass.

Would such an actuator hang down very far when the glass is closed? The present latch is flush to the ceiling, but anything bulkier could be hazardous to someone unloading gear from the cargo area.
