My 06 EXP is having some issues. Haven't had any probs in the last 4 years.

When the engine is cold, at start up the idle is high, about 2k. After a minute or so, it goes down to normal. Hasn't been a problem, just something to take note of.

Last summer, the engine would surge when slowing to a stop, up and down. Turn off the engine and restart, no problem. Happened occasionally. I did replace the battery after it had died. Haven't had a problem for many months.

Yesterday, one surge, then two times it stalls in rush hour traffic of course.
Now I have a CEL.
I've searched the forum, and it looks like it might be an issue with the O2 sensor, and / or, the throttle body. I'm going to take her in to the local garage tomorrow and see what's up.

Never fails, things start to go wrong after the warranty expires......

Anyone care to give some input ??

Thanks !

Just got my E back from the garage. They found P1129 error code regarding the MAP sensor. It cleared itself, and they did as much checking as they could.
I was told to take it to Honda and have them reprogram / update the MAP sensor.

I had the stalling when cold issue and did the valve adjust.

Problem 100% solved!!

All exhaust valves and one intake valve were ridiculously tight. Having made the adjustments my element is running perfectly and smoother at idle than new.
