I admit its a very tight fit up there:twisted:, and it takes some muscle to get the poles into the pockets, but it will work.
Tailgate Cabana
Hi, I just purchased the 2010 Element with the tailgate cabana and I am having an issue with the cabana. It seems that the poles that go on top of car are about 6 inches to long. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

put one pole end into the pocket, place one hand midway up the pole and one hand at the other end. bend up on the middle of the pole and push the free end down into the second pocket. Its just like setting up a tent but these are a tad smaller so they are a tad stiffer, but they will flex and get in there.

Thanks, I got it up but I had a lot of trouble with the 4th pocket. Eventually got it in, though. Can't wait for my next tailgate.
