The covers on mine are worn away. I have not though about replacing them though. How much are they?
Tailgate Wire
Hi - I'm on my second set of wires that attach the tailgate the the E. I find that when I load thing in and out of the truck things drag across the wires and shred the outer plastic covers.
Anyone else find this happens frequently?

About $15 or so per side.
If cable are the only thing you need, it should be around $6.50 each, $13 per pair.

That seems to be a somewhat common occurrence. Maybe try slipping some hose,or tubing over the tailgate cables to protect them.Hi - I'm on my second set of wires that attach the tailgate the the E.
