Just came from the Auto Mall in Cary and they have a silver DX 5-Speed 4WD on the lot!!! I had to look at the sticker 3 times to make sure I wasn't imagining it. They usually have 3 or 4 Elements on the lot, but this weekend there are 12 - all DX's. They fooled me at first though, because half of them have the EX alloys added as $995 add on. After I saw the first 5-Speed 4WD, I forgot to check the others... oh, well. They're here!

I also saw an SOP in person for the first time at the Raleigh dealership - SWEET! Naturally it is already sold...

5 spd EX AWD = $20,510
5 spd EX AWD w SRS = $20,760

Looks like the DX 5spd 4WD's are arriving, but I have yet to hear of any EX's.

The only place the Stars are going is to the golf course... but then again, my 'Canes went from the Stanley Cup Finals to dead last place in only 1 season so who am I to judge!

I think the Disney Darlings are going to do it this year if they can hold off the Sens in the Finals...

Hey, MIKE LAIR! You're in Boulder, eh? What's a Stars Fan doing there? I guess the same thing this New York Rangers (Freakin' disaster that franchise!) fan is doing in Higlands Ranch: enjoying the Colorado Weather!

I ordered my SOP E AWD 5spd from Ralph Schomp on Day two of the Blizzard. I've been obsessed ever since. I keep seeing conflicting reports about these things (not til 2004, July, never, etc) so it's nice to hear that you saw one in person!

Do you play? I play and coach down here in Littleton,

Catch you all later,

Mark

Hey AE,

That SOP is a great color. I was lucky enough to get my in SOP. I thought about waiting for the 4WD, but knew in my heart that despite living in MI, I didn't feel that I needed it. I know that sounds strange considering the weather our state gets. Plus I'm not the off-roading type.

I just picked up my EX 5 spd AWD today. WOW! I am so pleased with its performance. It replaces my Toyota 4Runner which I absolutely loved and was quite concerned about giving it up - I won't miss it one minute. It's a SOP only add on was the leather wheel cover, the rest I will add myself.

The wait was worth it!!

ok, what's the deal? I have a deposit down and my dealer can't even snag a vin # on a AWD EX 5speed.Traderman just picked one up. Boch honda on MA has 2 on the lot: http://www.bochhonda.com/carsearch.asp?VehicleType=Element

My dealer says they have to be grey market through canada with questionable warrantys. the vin should start with 5J6YH285 One of the Boch elements is red and silver, never heard of that color...what gives?

Your dealer might be correct that these cars could be of questionable origin if they are in colors Honda doesn't even produce in the states, unless it's just a typo on the webpage. Your dealer is also correct about the VIN as well.

It is feasable that there are 5spd EX 4WD's on the lots now though. I just had to trade for one of the only 2 SM 5 spd 4WD's in the state of Texas. The entire f'n state. They are certainly rare though. I know that much is for certain.

Did a little research and sure enough these cars are legit. I don't know why Honda does this to their dealers, let alone their customers, but there you have it. My dealer was pretty red in the face, the only bright side is the dealer with the AWD 5speed EX on the lot would only come down $200 from MSRP. Mine was $510......an-tic-ipa-tion....
