In September '06, Grannysmuncher in his thread, "SC Console in '05 LX", asked the question, "...do you think it is possible"? Well, since then many adventurous E owners have contemplated this modification, while some of us have installed the SC Center Console. Lets find out if your SC Center Console was an installed modification, or came standard with your SC. Are you contemplating the installation? Also, to let others know that it can be done, post pic's. Here's mine:

I hear ya, I will do the clear for the shine, I really dig the piano black, and the clear should make it more scratch resistant. werD:cool:

Well, here's the finished product. All silver is now piano key black. Instead of posting pics here, I'm posting the link to the thread where you can view them.

Peace!
Questions from a newb 07 owner contemplating doing this-

How much actual work is involved with installing the SC console. Any drilling/voiding of the warranty, etc?

I can keep the 12v and AUX jacks where they are right? Above "the shelf"?

and what is the solution to the current arm rests? I know they come out, what seat covers are you using, or can you get SC seats installed?
The AUX/12V on the dash will not be dealt with, so they'll remain there. As far as seat covers go, some have gone with Wet Okleys and I suppose if you wanted to spend the money for new seats you could. I removed my armrest which left two holes in the side bolsters of my seats. I've since done a patch job on them with material from one of the armrest I removed. It's not noticable unless you're looking. I cool with the look but no, you won't have to mess with the dash 12V/AUX.
The Wet Oakleys only cover up to 2006, unless someone knows otherwise and feels like sharing a site.

Does anyone have these or know if Precision On Fit (.com) are legit?

I can't advise but the WO run about $500 bucks plus. You could contact the site direct and ask about seat covers. JSM00ThJaZ3 says they are very helpful and and if you look at the begining of the thread, he shows his in gray and dark gray I think the color is.. If they're not in this thread, do a searh on "SC console" and you'll see his postings and Ricks. You could also just do a search on JSM00thJaZ3 and go to his console install pics. His seats are shown.
i just checked WO and they now have a listing for 07:D. werD:cool:
Anyone have a link, specifically for the 07 ones?
Here you go people. Those thinking of doing this mod, doodles518 has another console for sale on ebay. I'm listing the url http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008...016QQitemZ260219972419QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

if anyone is interested. This is a great mod and I highly suggest it to anyone who's be thinking about it. This console gives you a whole new perspective on your interior. It beats the armrest, gets the cup holders up higher within hand reach along with the ebrake and ample storage.

Just looking out for ya.

Peace!

You might want to pass this one up though. It doesn't come with the handbrake or other hardware that ours came with.

I think the last one he had didn't have the ebrake either but FishE jumped on it and ordered what was needed to complete it. I think he figured what it was going to cost him to complete it and made Rog and offer that would put him where he would be if he bought it complete.

I've been looking into this since I got my E (which was only a couple weeks ago  ) BUT I would really like to have one. Anyway....is it necessary to have the SC brake lever or is it possible to just use the SC bracket? Also, what other hardware is not "included" in this auction that was in his previous ones. I have tried contacting him a couple of time but have yet to get a response. Do you think if I just test drove an SC and remove the console they would notice :p j/k
You need the ebrake for sure. I never use mine but its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. I mean really, you would have void and it would look incomplete.

From what I can tell, the only thing missing is the ebrake and you can't use the existing one for this application. You would need parts #1 and #2 which would cost you $142.63. Everything else you would come from your current setup and you would need to by a threaded rod that you could get at any hardware store and a coupling nut for same.

Roger is sometimes a little slow getting back and I know Fish-E had the same situation. I emailed him and told him he had someone interested. Try him again and if he hasn't gotten back to you by Wednesday let me know.

NO NO....LOL I didn't mean no ebrake at all. I just meant using the existing ebrake handle on the SC bracket and since you said you can't use it, that answers my question. Wouldn't you also need the sub cover on tops of parts 1 & 2 from that diagram?? Then I have to deal with the fact that I have grey interior.

You use your existing sub. The one most of us got had the sub with it but its not needed. In fact, I took it off and when I put the console in, it butted up into the existing sub enclosure, so no, all you would need is what has been mentioned.

Ah...looking on the parts diagrams, there are two different parts listed, one for the SC and one for the EX. I am not doubting you though. So, on the picture in the ebay auction, there appears to be some clips that snap into the shifter console like the factory EX sub enclosure does..where do the clips on the SC console snap in? Thanks Chozn.

My bad! You will also need the subwoofer cover which the front end of the console goes down and then up into that cover and locks into place. Sorry about that! I'm a little tired and sleepy and baching it these next few days. Not sure what the cover would cost but I'm sue it's not the big of an expense.

I looked at the sub cover for the SC once and it is not cheap. $21 not counting shipping.
I'd wait for a complete set up or contact our seller and talk with him about a full setup. College Hills Honda on line price:
