Part of me wants to agree with Mikie (since I once lived in STL), but I think that sentiment is true that no matter where you live, you think it's nothing special.

Here are some touristy things to think about:
Budweiser brewery tour.
Soulard blues clubs
Lemp haunted mansion
The railroad museum
The casinos
Laclede's landing for the partiers (next to the arch)
Washington Ave for the younger partiers
Blueberry Hill (I saw Chuck Berry perform there on his 70th birthday) in the Loop
Forest Park
And by far, the best beer in St. Louis, Shafley Brewery at the Tap Room.

Can't leave out the Delmar Loop.....
P.S. I can't relate to Mikie... Moved here at 15 and it has only gotten better. You have to get out and stop watching TV to enjoy anyplace... A lot of STL AREA people never leave the house or the county they're in....

Yo Rustbucket

An old friend of mine, ( a retired truck driver ) Tells me there is a " joint ", ( his words not mine ) that has the best Chicken he ever had, and it was cheep too !!

He can't remember the name of the place. He tells me if he hears it, he will know it. Can you help me? He says " It's like old fashioned down home cooking, but better ""
