Shortly before my warranty was to expire I started to hear a thumping noise from the right front, a single thunk. It didn't do it consistently enough to describe. I dawdled around and now have 50,000 miles.

The thumping has gotten more frequent. Now it thumps when I hit a pothole, sometimes when I accelerate, and somethies when I turn. There is no clicking like with a bad CV joint. I have jacked up the right front wheel and nothing seems to be loose. CV boots are not torn.

Anyone know what might be causing this?

This is my first problem with a Honda other than dieing from old age having owned 89 accord 20,000 miles, 90 accord wagon 140,000 miles, 91 accord 100,000 miles, 2004 element 50,000 miles, 2004 odyssey, 70,000 miles.

Welcome to the club. Without seeing it anything would be a guess but check the swaybar bushings or the front lower A arm compliance bushing. The other thing is the strut may be failing or the strut pivot plate.
