2005 Element--
Have had both sides brake pads replaced (and they weren't bad) but still ... hearing ting-ting-ting-ting as I glide to a stop. Slows as the car slows and speeds up on acceleleration then disappears into the sound of the engine. Sounds like thin metal but underneath, nothing found.

Comes and goes. Gone but then returns for over a year.

I ignore it in winter but in summer, inevitably anyone who sits in the passenger side with the window rolled down asks.... what's that noise ?

Welcome to the club. Without seeing it it would be hard to find but I would look at the brake rotor dust covers lightly touching the rotor. If not that try lightly sanding the rotors and see if it goes away and if so get some brake pad anti squeal witch looks like glue. The other thing witch you shouldn't have is the hubcaps on some cars will cause a noise like that.

possibly the metal plate that holds the brake pads might been misplaced some how, or the black grease might of been insufficient.
