Tire Rotation

I have about 19000 miles on my 07 EX Element and I already had a tire rotation just a year ago in June, is it a good idea to have them rotated again now? The owners manual says to rely on the maintenance minder system but I am kind of skeptical. What should I do?

Do mine every 5,000 miles:)
Do mine every 5,000 miles:)
I do mine at the same interval. I change my oil and rotate my tires at the same time.

Yup

Easy to remember that way......Cause remembering can be the most difficult part:rolleyes:
I also rotate with each oil change. I just wait for the MM to tell me to change the oil.
Good luck.

About every 5000 miles is good. The right front tire wears pretty quickly compared to the rest.

Just don't do like I did and let it go 15000 miles. Now I have a tire that is borderline worn, I might do a "double rotation" at some point to keep the tire off the right front.
I get my oil changed every 3000 miles (can't hurt to be more frequent than what the manual says, and my dealer doesn't use a synthetic oil), so I get my tires rotated every other visit. My Michelin LTX's have about 23,000 miles on them and still look pretty new. :D
I do mine every other oil change as well. 19000 miles and no tire rotation.....YIKES . Here in Hot Springs,Arkansas It was $26.00 for an oil change ,tire rotation & balance, got it done yesterday before the wife goes round trip to ATL and back to Hot Springs over the weekend.

I think he said he has had a rotation in the past just doesnt say what mileage it was at.

I was thinking of doing it at 5k with the oil but will wait until the next one at 10k. The fronts do already look like they could use it so I may not be able to wait??? Of course I won't be sad to get rid of the stock tires anyway:)
I rotate my tires every 10,000 miles (easy to remember).

I've been through two sets of tires (on the third) in about 90,000 miles. Wear looked very even on the old tires, retired conservatively with a tiny bit of tread left.

Works for me, though certainly more often wouldn't hurt, esp. with performance tires.

The rule of thumb is first rotation after 5K miles and then every 10K miles. I do mine every 5K. But, I have a impact wrench, hydraulic jacks + stands. Even with TQ the nuts to spec the whole job can't take more than 10 minutes. 10K is clearly fine with Element type tires. Now, if you're running Summer tires that you'll only get 20K out of then it would be a different story. I only balance the tires if I know of a need to.
