I started a thread last night but the power went out, so here we go again.

Sometime Between graduating AIT and getting on the plane for a month of leave and recruiting I traded in my 2001 Acura CL type S for my 08 SC. So my brand new E is sitting a friends in Dallas not being driven :-(.

Anyways here are a few pics, sorry about the fact that I am in them but i had a plane to catch and this is all i have.

Once i get back to Texas i will get some proper pictures (Amateur photographer so i will take plenty)

Glad im not the only one that made the switch! I loved my CL as well, just got sick of wondering if the transmission was going to explode every time I accelerated to hard, used S-mode, or looked at it wrong.

That is one gorgeous E! Welcome to the EOC, Ricepuddin, and yes, thank you for your service. Can't comment on the Acura, I was coming from a Ford Escort ZX2 when I got my E. The shame! I know. :)

Ha. Just last month, I traded in my 2001 Acura CL type S for an 09 SC. Although I loved that Acura, I don't miss it. Cheers!
WOW!!!!! Add me to the club. Although I bought my 08 SC, then sold my 01
Acura CL-S 6 months later!!!! And the crazy part, my 08 SC is RBP as well.
Crazy. Now, the true test!!! What color was your CL-S ricepuddin??? If you
say Agean Blue Pearl, Im gonna faint!!! :D I already consider you my brother
from another mother!!! If you do say ABP, then you are my long lost twin!!

Congrats, on your purchase, you will love it. There are a few things I miss
from the CL-S, the main thing other than the obvious HP, is the pass side
mirror that tilted in and down when you put it in reverse!! I miss my Home
Link as well, but I'm about to solve that problem very quickly!!!

Keep us posted on your new E, post lots of pix, and thanks for serving our country!!

They are i was on my Second tranny, it seemed like a third would be need soon and $4k for a new one just wasn't worth it

I was lucky. I had over 90k on my transmission. But sporadically throughout its life made some odd... gestures. Otherwise, it was an almost perfect car for me at the time: quite fast (for a non-sports car), with decent mileage, and the interior was outstanding (my favorite leather seats ever).

Now I need the extra cargo space, so the E is the perfect car for me. :)

Loved the Interior, slept in that car many times! Mine was modified so the gas millage was terrible lol.

What color was yours?
