TSX Head Swap

I've been half a$$ researching this for the past few months trying to get a "grocery" list together for the swap. I've almost compiled it, but I'm still trying to figure out what ECU to use. I was under the impression the swap would necessitate a kpro, but I read in this thread, http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48638
that paslag is running the off the shelf TSX ECU. I realize the kpro would still be a must to squeeze every ounce of hp/tq out of the engine, but my goal isn't to build a super sleeper Civic eater. I just want the TSX engine in my E. (Or at least a faux TSX engine...)
So I guess what I'm asking is, can the TSX ECU run the swap and Element dash functions like paslag's?

If you want the sure answer, it is in this forum somewhere!!

Its a huge forum and every engine and or head swap ever done on both the
K20 or K24 engine is in there. Whatever it is you want to do, its been done
already.

Good Luck!!!

Besides the TSX there is now a ~200 hp K24 cooking away in the Accord EX. These components may be more compatible... I dunno...

More research...

I've been lurking there too for a few months and just joined up this morning to ask the same question. Man they build crazy stuff there. And I thought I was hot $hit back in the day when I had a LS/Vtec in my integra! Basically trying to do the same thing here. Gotta love the ability to mix and match with Hondas.
Thanks for the reply Aztec!

Thanks 'nose!
Hmm, engine specs look similar to the TSX, same bore/stroke, but the accord makes 15hp less than the TSX...wonder why. Maybe a lower end IM? I wonder how long that engine's been offered in the Accord. If it's too new I probably won't be able to find one or it'll be too spendy. I found a couple k24a2's on ebay for around $1800(not including shipping).

This spec engine came into the Accord with the last makeover, '08 I think. They offer the lower level LX with the 177 hp rating and the EX with the 190 hp rating. It may be identical but just 'denied' the true output. In the 4th gen Accord ('90 -- '94) the SE had a much improved 2-stage intake but Honda never mentioned any of that. The span of 13 hp is minimal but when driving the LX vs the EX it is quite noticeable... ...more than I think 13 ponies would be.

Posted up my questions on k20a.org and got great information on the ECU. Most of it refers back to Honda Ghandi's build. Gotta love the Hellement!
Here's the link if you wanted to know. Post # 6.
