Hey guys, does anyone know if the base model dx i think is prewired for the tweets?

Or am i going to have to run the wires either down to the cross or vice versa?

I got infinity's that come with a cross and tweeters.

Thanks for any help, I know this question may be dumb but im new at all this speaker stuff.

I was having a set of infinity's installed in the back of my E when I noticed another E pulled up to the bay for an install. It was weird when an old friend of mine got out of it. Very weird with so few around (E's, not friends). To make a long story short, he had NO sound at all in his and was having a system installed. I asked the technician later, when I saw the pillar cover removed, if the wiring was already done. According to him, Honda does all the cabling when they build them to save the dealers problems later. Very cool. It's just a matter of removing the cover, plugging in and mounting the tweet, replacing the cover, and enjoying.

I'm in that same boat. I guess I'll just have to document this process and see what I find for all of our DX buddies (and budettes).

For a stripped down DX vehicle you'd think Honda would provide some DIY guidance (other than "this is not for DIYers"). Obviously NONE of those lawyers have ever been to any type of car club before. Apologies to any E Lawyers out here, of course!

Well i was up to the weee hours last night installing my infinity's 505 i's

There isn't or at least there was not any pre wiring in my colums.

So i had to run the wires down to the cross - wich i put inside the door.

I foud that to be the easiest in terms of running cable.

So far it sounds amazing, I also installed some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs wow what a dif.

GMDOD, don't tell me that!!! My Infinities arrived today so I am to install them tonight. I already installed the rear infinities and the head unit - painless - but I am REALLY nervous about the tweeters. Now even more so, that yours wasn't pre-wired....

I'll let ya'll know tomorrow how it goes.... :?

E Bobert follow element J's instructions for the tweeters - it was super easy to attatch them to the colum it was just the wiring that was tricky - I used a metal coat hanger as a guide to push the wires were i wanted them to go.

gmdod, INSTALLED!!! Not that difficult, The driver side was easier because I could fit my arm behind the dash in order to grab the speaker wire. The passenger side was terrible. I could barely fit my arm in the dash, so I used the wire coat hanger, then I had to try and fish the wire through the gasket into the door.... Man what a job!!! anyways, finally got that passenger side done. All Infinity, sounds GREAT!!!! Thanks mgdod and Element-J :D

Man was the passenger side ever horible.

Im just about to change the Deck but im gonna see if i can get an attatchent so that i don't have to splice the wires.

Does anyone know where i can get a wiring harness that will match up with the E's wireing??

Thanks
