Just like the guys in California who were putting the Mustang 5.0L in first-generation Miatas back in the '90s. They were actually making a business out of it. The engine fit fine and even had no hood bulges, but you had to remove fenders to get to the plugs. The most notable part of the conversion was the Big A$$ Brakes they had to put on 'em for the extra front-end weight, not to mention compensating for the extra go-too-fastness.

there really is no reason for this. why not just k swap it, or b swap it on the cheap. i have a b18 swapped eg and it is def fast enough for me as is...

plus that heavy v6 would throw off the weight, over steer much? stupid.

Somebody in this area did a V6 swap in a Civic about 3-4 years ago, but they made it RWD also. The V6 swap is becoming more prevalent since Hasport started making the mount kit. I think they also did some work with custom spring rates and relocation of items such as the battery to help work on the change in weight distribution. It is most likely just for more of the wow factor, but it does provide that. I was already serioulsy wondering how hard this would be to do in the E. This was at a local carshow the other day.

Why? Because it's there.

Anybody got a spare V6 for me to drop in?

I love that torquey smoothness of the Ody motor. To have it in a Civic would be a super cool cruiser. I am sure it would shoe-horn right into the E as well with room to spare... Weight distribution adjustments are a must...

Why?

The same reason that people climb mountains and wanted to go to the moon:

Because it's there!
Amen, brotha!

Now if an Ody engine would just show up in my garage, I could feel free to use that excuse...

Since I now know that an Ody motor can be shoe horned into a Civic, I really want my '91 Accord to have a V-6 Ody drive-line. What a sling shot that would be...!!!!
