Hello ..03 EX 2 wheel drive ..mine since new ..92,000 miles only new car I ever had .. Retired mechanic from the 60's and 70's ... OK Vibration comes in at 42 mph and "leaves" at 50 .. If I smash the gas even at 50 it vibrates till I let off .. Thinking left cv shaft ..It/both of them look fine ..no open boots or loose .. Had a friend drive it and he noticed the green "D" drive flashing ... I looked it up and think it's a sign of some external switch ..but the D has never flashed again ..Also someone suggested it could be the dreaded torque converter fail ??? .. So also my friend seems to think the one motor mount seems loose (drivers side mount) and may be causing the shake ?? I have replaced 3 of the 4 mounts a few years ago ..
Sorry this is so long ..Any Suggestions / Experiences will be greatly appreciated .. I think it's the cv axle ..just hate to do the hardest ..most $$$ job and that's not it ..Oh well that's Life ...Thanks for "Listening"

Does it only occur while accelerating or under load (like going uphill)?

Is the driver side mount the only one you didn't replace?

When was the last time your transmission fluid was changed? Can you give us the specific transmission code?

Thanks for your Reply When you drive ..."normal?" ..like up to 50 mph ..under normal acceleration it starts to vibrate at 42 mph and stops at 50 ish .. I can however smash the gas at 50 and it vibrates till I let off 1-2 seconds .. I did change the drivers side mount and 2? others ..this seems to be the only repair I didn't log in my book .. I have changed the fluid several times latest time was under 1000 miles ago with Honda fluid every time .. It wasn't the check engine light that came on ..once...but the green "D' in the indicator and I checked ...no codes stored .. I did read somewhere you need a special "reader" for the trans codes ..my reader says it reads them thou ..What a mess eh ? I think it's the cv shaft ..just gonna cost $300 to find out ...

The axles typically tend to vibrate under load. If you accelerate to 47 or so, then let off the throttle, does it continue to vibrate?

Are they still the original axles? Take a look the condition of the damper ring on the axle shaft and see if they are still intact.

Thanks so much for the reply .. still trying to figure this out ..at some point I guess i will just need to start throwing parts at it .. Your question about "letting off the throttle is a good one " ...yes when I let off the gas it stops shaking ... sounds like a cv axle to me to .. just this morning I crawled under to "look" again like that might help .. The "balance ring" is intact and tight ..I put the car in neutral so I could rock it back and forth while "feeling" the axle ..seems tight ..???.Now I have some doubts about the motor mount..Perhaps loose ..and engine is shaking under a load ?? AND ...now there's the green "D" light that came on flashing 1 time/trip ..no codes in computer but I've been shown a video on how to jump the OBD port to check codes ... UGH !!! Thanks for "listening" ...

Have you done any further diagnosing on this issue?
Hello ..sorry ..update here ..the Hasport Upper transmission Solid Racing mount made the real bad vibration on acceleration go away .... But ..I makes the whole car "Buzz" at idle due to it being a pretty much solid mount .. .. Well I assumed it wasn't the c/v shaft from this ..saved up and bought all new Honda factory motor mounts ..Installed them yesterday ....And guess what ..The Shake is back .. Pretty much un drivable .. I put the Hasport mount back so I can drive it ..I have looked at shaken rocked the c/v axles I see nothing wrong .. And have been reading some posts about auto trans Torque Converter Shutter .. I change my fluid regular ..Still ...Well I just don't know ...

Over the years I have replaced the mounts and trans sensor for flashing D. I doubt anything is wrong with your trans. I would find a specialist who can give you a legit diagnosis before throwing anymore parts at this issue.
