take the negative terminal off the battery and isolate it from the battery. wait at least 3 minutes. pop the cover on the bottom of the actual steering wheel off. unplug the yellow connector. remove 1 T30 tork bolt from the rear side of each side of the steering wheel. gently pull the airbag out and place it somewhere it will not get jarred. you will then have access to the 2 phillips screws that hold the steering wheel control panel to the wheel. remove the screws and unplug the connector. the actual controls are held to the piece from behind with 2 phillips screws. reassemble in the reverse order.
you can view the steering wheel replacement instructions by going to www.handaaccessories.com and picking your truck and interior accessories/leather steering wheel. just stop after you get the airbag out and remove the left side of the SWC. it is very easy so dont be discouraged.
