Long story short, i was rear ended in Chicago by an Escalade. Ellie survived and was repaired but it doesn't look right.

The lower plastic "flap" panel on the inside of my lower hatch is off but i can't figure out why.

It's pretty obvious that the left side gap between the flap panel and the hatch is more than the right side which is causing the right side to push up instead of sitting flat.

So my question is... exactly how much should the gap be? I can't even remember. Can anyone take a picture and post it? Thanks

Mine is a 2005 and about as worn as yours, although it sits flush its not perfect when open. If the panels are bent you will not be able to fix them only replace them. You more then likely will not get it perfect esp if during the accident the panel was bent.

Pretty much looks like my 07 which I am in and out of all day long. I think it"s probably warped from wear, or maybe it's that case of seedless grapes weighing it down on one side;-).
