Hi everyone,

I've had this issue with my 2005 Element for a couple years now, but have never had it looked at (although it doesn't always happen).

When I accelerate it sounds like water is rushing in my dashboard. I'm certain there is water trapped somewhere, but I don't know where.

Today it rained heavily and I noticed that the driver seatbelt was soaked when I got in the car this morning.

Have any of you had this issue? Any suggestions?

the water sound from the dash sounds like a clogged a/c evaporator

No, I haven't noticed any water on the floor of the car.

I am thinking the water on the seatbelt is a separate issue.

There is no way the 2 are related. For the seatbelt it could have been caught in the door when you closed it and got wet that way. If your windows were closed and your door seals properly I can't imagine how the seatbelt got wet.

When does the water sound happen? Only after a rainfall or all the time?

Berz out.

Still on the water rush or bubbling sound in dashboard, mine starts to be audible once I insert the key and it stops after a while till the next time I want to start the car. What might be the cause?

Mine had that issue when it was new but it went away after a couple of years. I think it was an air bubble in the coolant lines that run inside for the heater core.
