Wifey's 08 E has 7k miles and a spongy brake pedal. Raed all the posts here and printed out the TSB and took car to the dealer who replaced the module and bled brakes and no change in pedal feel. Wife is not totally thrilled with E any way and lousy brakes are pushing her to trade it. I like the E and would like to keep it in the family a little longer. I haven't found any posts that say anyone has found a definite cure for this problem. Next trip to the dealer might be the Subaru dealer. Any advice is very appreciated.

I'd take it back and have them re-bleed it. I just got the tsb done and it made a big difference. They still aren't the best out there, but they're much better. Definately liveable now.

Your master cylinder may be toast - this has happened to a number of people with low mileage E's. In any case, there is no reason to put up with the dealer doing something for the sake of doing something as opposed to actually fixing the problem.
