Hey everyone. As I said in my intro, I'm currently shopping for an Element (I don't feel like I can call it an E until I own one, ;P). I'm gonna take a trip up to NorCal soon and found this one. I had a friend up North check it out and he said it all looks good. Here's the link to the dealer site and page and a link to the carfax. The only thing that worries me at all is that it failed an emissions test with only about 33,000 miles on it. They put in new oil, etc. (you can see all this on the carfax) and it passed. It's a certified pre-owned so I assume I don't have too much to worry about, but I'd like to see what you guys think before I move forward on it.

So they changed the oil and lubricated the chassis and now it passed emissions? How did that help it pass emissions? It makes no sense.

That was my thought as well. I can't imagine a vehicle (let alone a Honda) not passing emissions at 33,000 miles. My Corolla has 104,000 and I still can't imagine a day anytime soon where I'd worry about it passing.
