Is there a wheelchair lift that could be installed in the tail of the Element?

because of the clam shell design of the rear doors, i'm not sure if a lift is possible... on a side note, one of my patients, who is wheel chair bound, owns an E... he simply opens both doors while sitting in the drivers seat, pulls his chair from the rear seat area and jumps in... he tells me his life is like a country western song,,,,"my wife left me, my dog is dying, and my health is poor, but at least i have my element..."... :mrgreen:

Braun Lifts (in st. Petersburg, FL) could tell you if their lift can be fitted to the rear of an E. I'm betting not...the rear tail gate is in the way, has a 400 pound max capacity. A side mount might be possible.

If you are transferring, should be few problems.
If not, the locking mechanism for the chair shouldn't be a problem but dropping the floor would be. There is so much headroom and a lot of adjustibility in the column
