I am about to install a double din in-dash nav unit http://www.eclipse-web.com/us/avn/avn726efeature.html in my 05 Element. I wanted to know where other peeps mounted their GPS antennas? I thought about mounting it on the dash, out side next to the stock antenna or just going stealth and putting it under the dash somewhere. I am most interested in putting it under the dashboard. Gps antennas are supposed to be able to receive signals Though objects other than metal.

So has anyone tried mounting the GPSS antenna under the Element dash? If so how does it work? Does it have good accuracy? And was it a pain in the ass?

Any info is appreciated.

thx

the one for my pioneer nav unit is behind the radio on top of the vents under the center of the dash. gets signal just fine so id rather not have anything showing to prying eyes if at all possible.

Cool, thx for the quick responses guys :)

I will give the under the dash location a shot first. If that doesn't work i will go for the under the cladding method.

thanks again guys
