I have seen pictures of the entire front composit panel pulled off to replace the grill. I want to do the same for a diff reason, that being to weld a bracket to the front bumper behind the panel when it is off (and do minor cutting of the panel so it will fit back on)so I can attach a bigger bracket underneath to have better anchor points to attach a grill guard I am designing and having built to put on. That being said (whew!) I would like to know where the airbag sensors are so I can weld onto the bumper without compromising the sensitivity and the activity of the airbag. Anyone got any ideas??

There are 2 front impact sensors, one left and one right. They look to be mounted on the inner fender below the headlights. the left sensor has 2 brown wires coming out of it and the right sensor has 2 blue wires. Hope this helps.

Thanks Lon, however, I went to my dealer and talked to the assistant Service Manager and he said the whole front clip does not have to be removed, just the part that holds the license place. I went to the Parts Department and they called up an exploded view of the front clip and sure enough, it shows that particular part seperate, and I can remove it. NOW, the question I originally posted was ....will welding a bracket to the inside metal bumper behind the part that holds the license plate affect these sensors? Service manager said to disconnect neg part of battery to be sure when welding.
