I want to mount snow tires and I'm looking for a second set of wheels for my SC and a 17" wheel set opens up a lot more tire options than the stock 18" wheels. So far I've only found one winter tire for the 18" wheel and it had a really sorry looking tread pattern.

Does anyone know if the 17" wheels will fit and has anyone here ever done it?

The tire technician was concerned the 17" wheels may not work if the SC has a different (beefed up) brake package. He thought it may possibly have larger rotors and brakes calipers.

You can use either a 16 or 17 inch rim as long as the offset is correct.

The brakes on the Sc are identical to the other models. Nothing has been beefed up from the factory0
