hmmm. Every time I have had me E smogged they have never sad anything about me having an intake. Which intake do you have? I don't know what happens if you don't pass smog...I assume if you don't pass then you know you need to swap something out.

The K&N intake has a CARB EO number and will pass smog. If yours doesn't have the sticker you will have a hard time finding anyone that will pass it. Its better to just install the stock intake and get it passed. The exhaust will not be a problem as its a cat back unless you changed the cat or header.

might try contacting injen to see if they have a sticker for it now that they can send you. I had a MSD ignition that I bought used years ago and I emailed them about a CARB sticker and they mailed me one for it for free.

I just did a little research on the California Air Resources Board (CARB) web page. In terms of the After Market Air Intakes, the Injen Technology Air Intakes, short ram, for the Honda Element, 2003-2006 (SP1726), 2007 and 2008 (SP1727), should be okay. Executive Order D-496-5 will cover the 2003-2006 , 2007, 2008.

The K&N, Typhoon Air Intake for the Honda Element, 2003-2006 (69-1015, TB, TP, TR, TS) is covered by Executive Order D-269-32.

Anyone should be able to contact Injen and K&N and inquire about the CARB sticker. I need to do this also .

Injen: Tel 909.839.0706 , For general information or questions regarding Injen products: [email protected]

K&N: (800) 858-3333 or (951) 826-4000, For general information or questions regarding K&N products: [email protected]

I recently received my CARB Sticker for the '05 Injen Intake. From Injen you will be asked to provide the following: (1) A picture of the intake system installed in your car, (2) A picture of the VIN#. In addition, I also provided a copy of the Product Registration Card. You can provide this information via e-mail. I received the Sticker in less than a week.

2009 + E's

For those interested, I emailed Injen regarding 2009+ E's with the SP1727 which is only carb approved for 07-08 years.

Subject: 2010 Honda Element LX

Hello
I bought and installed a new cold air intake (SP1727) for my 2010 Honda Element LX. My question is, when will this be CARB approved? Or perhaps it already is approved. If so, let me know what you need so I can obtain the CARB sticker to pass emissions testing. I am hoping you have good news for me. thank you

Carb approved for :

SP1726

2003-2006 Honda Element 2.4L 4 Cyl.

SP1727

2007-2008 Honda Element 2.4L 4 Cyl.

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/devices/amquery.php

Type “ 476-5” in the carb look up .
