Hi all,

Someone asked for a poll on the cracking of windshields, so here goes.

Now let me start by saying as with any poll, there are going to be a few people who have actual crack problems, and may throw off the numbers a bit, be them other car dealers or just jerks playing, so keep that in mind when looking at any of the numbers.

That is not meant to minimize the problem, but only to keep people aware that this is the internet and not gospel

I agree RML, but as a member of this group for over a month I fear the biggest problem with these polls isn't the people posting fase negative information, it's the people who can't bring themselves to talk down the Element. They've been the biggest obstacle between me and honest answers here. At the very least, these two sides of the extreme might negate the each other.

The windshield is pretty vertical. You have to expect a rock to do some damage every now and then. I had a 1990 Isuzu trooper before my E and It had six or seven rock dings in its windshield, the guy I bought it from had replace the windshield 3 times for the same reason. From my trooper I learned pretty quickly the semi truck throw up the most windshield hunting rocks, so watch out.

I lost my windshield to a small stone at 1800 miles. As an experiment, due to all the reported trouble, I chose to go with a high quality LOF aftermarket windshield from an installer I trust. I will post future results (Cracks)
