Just a reminder. When you shut your car down in the everning. Remember to hit your recycle button with the fan on. This closes the door in the heater and it helps keep the mice out. In fact. I got into the habit of doing this year round.

Please please please tell me where the recycle button is - mice have ruined my heater twice - today will cost over $3k to fix and I need to solve this for my 2006 Element.

It is the button on the heat/AC controls that tells the system to recirculate the air within the vehicle, not bring fresh air in from outside. Looks like a sideways U shaped arrow.
