-30 C (-22 F).It`s really cold!!!:x
E doesn`t start. All basic manipulations had no effect.
Don`t You know are there "nothern" and "southern" complectations? I mean that engine shouldn`t start normally until cold.

Is your battery holding a full charge?

If not get a new battery. Otherwise if you park near an electric power source I would suggest a block heater and/or a battery blanket.

Good luck and stay warm!
Sounds like a dead battery! If you're in a very cold climate like that, I would suggest upgrading to a larger battery. Also seriously consider getting a block heater. My E has lived through several winters with temps down that far and with a good battery and block heater has never failed to start.

Also suggest the following; turn the key on and wait for a second or two before turning to "Start" in order for the sensors to correctly inform the computer of conditions. Do not touch the gas pedal. If you drive in cold conditions, you probably already know this.
Thanks guys!
I live in this climate the whole life and start the different engines for 15 years of driving, so I think I know this problem better than most of you
I underline nothing (fast start spray, checking battery\fuel\sparks) helps.
may be the ECM doesn`t wanna start the engine in case of low temperature?

 E was moved to warm box to defroze
Thanks!
the problem solved!
It was manufacturer`s immobilizer
здравствулте! Glad to hear you have solved the problem.:)
Aha, the immobilizer strikes again! ;-)

Glad to hear you got it figured out because I have started my Element at -43F last winter with a six year old battery and the block heater unplugged (ran over cord with snow blower).

Keep warm my friend and please post some pics of your Element on Moscow streets so people can see what real winter looks like.:)
