How long do the important wiring really last ?
Is buying the latest year any hedge against brittle or decayed wiring/insulation over buying a first year's model ?
For example, if wiring lasts 15 - 20 years, then purchasing the last years model could be of benefit.
But if the main wiring or wiring that could be hard to find and fix, is gonna last 50 years, then the later model has no benefit.

Also in the scheme of things, meaning - taking into account the longevity and expense of updating and replacing other important parts, is the wiring of little real significance?

Finally are wiring that live in clean engine compartments much healthier than wiring buried under grease, grime and debris?
