I'm looking to buy a used kayak - I've been scouring CL, and haven't had much luck as of yet. I'm willing to travel almost anywhere in the Northeast to pick it up if the deal is right!!

Pretty please sell me your kayak.....I just want to be out on the water!!

I know LL Bean run a Kayak school near Freeport, Maine and EMS have one down near Providence, RI; it might be worth calling them and seeing if they have any ex-teaching boats for sale?

You may want to call Old Town Kayak. They have a factory store in Old Town Maine. A friend of mine picked up a new one for short money. The only thing wrong with it was the color.

I have a old town loon and love it. It is plastic, it unsinkable and very save. I beat it up and it still looks good and functions. With fiberglass you have to handle very careful.

There is a place in Plymouth Mass where you can go on a saturday and try any kayak you want. They may also have some used ones. Here is the name:

Billington Sea Kayak

- Billington Sea Rd
Plymouth, MA 02360
