I am looking for a Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2007 Element SC. Send me a P.M. if you know where I can get one.

etrailer.com

I tried to work this the same way when I was looking for same for 2006 EXP. Maybe your year model will make it easier, but I had no luck. For the cost and ease of install - you cannot do better than buying new. I recommend etrailer.com for the hitch and H-and-A accessories or hondapartscheap.com (aka South Bay Honda)for the harness.

For H--and-A accessories:

This is for SBH accessories:

I have installed three hitches myself, so far and my first trailer wiring harness on my E. It's not hard - just takes time.

ONE MAJOR REASON for doing hitch install yourself is that you can spray coat the metalwork in rubber undercoat to keep this part looking smart under the butt end of your E for many years. I do not find any manufacturer of hitches that rustproofs their products sufficiently. A rusty hitch bar and receiver, etc, looks butt-ugly, IMHO.

I'm particular about what's hanging off my butt end, whether my own or the vehicles, since I cannot see it/mine and EVERYONE behind me CAN. [Does this qualify as neurosis or psychosis??]

Don't wait forever to find something in the Trading Post, if you really want it now, but it's always a good place to start, like you did, just in case you get lucky and 'Match' with another EOCer!

Good luck!
