Starting a mod log on our new 2007 EX Kiwi

At home with its Rootbeer brother.

Dented the passenger door and scraped up the rear fender. (Some people)

I will be fixing this...and of course posting the process.:grin:

Well she got a full detail yesterday and man what a difference.

Those car lot prep guys must use a mop and bucket to apply armor-all.:roll:

Wife is having to hold me back already. (my voice of reason)
Have to finish up the projects on the Rootbeer float first, but already ordered a bunch of goodies for the Kiwi so I can get started ASAP!

Well, between work, and Rootbeer projects I did get a little time with our Kiwi.

First, I now have all the audio upgrades acquired and will be starting on that project soon.

But in the mean time, the center console was pretty trashed with wear and paint gouges. I bought a new center and shift trim ring to just replace it...but you know I don't roll like that.

Little sneak peek at the Audio going into the Kiwi..Nothing like the Rootbeer Float, but we are going for practical over show truck.

Install pictures soon (man, I need a new hobby :twisted:).

Kiwi's Audio Upgrades

Shes not as fancy as the Float, but a damn sight better than stock!


Door/pillar speaker amp. Alpine 4-channel 50w X 4.


Sub amp. Alpine V-12 200w mono.


Headunit. Pioneer AVR-3500


Replaced the factory sub with the LX cubbie.

Sub. Alpine Type R 8" dual coil in a small ported enclosure.



Small enough to lay flat with the seats down. Removable for larger loads.


Or facing rearward for better bass loading.

Door speakers. Polk Audio 6.5" drop in's front and rear doors.

Pillar speakers. Pioneer Premier 1" harddome tweeters.

Took out the factory AUX input and installed the decks USB port in its place.
