Mine did the same, almost completely ran out of oil, was sputtering and lagging to almost a dead stop. Never thought of checking my oil, 310,000 on a 04 EX auto, between changes at 5,000 but it had less than a quart in it when I got to the dealership. A friend of mine the same issue in a Jaguar. No oil leaks, knock on wood. Checked it after the oil change where the dlr. found it low, every gas fill and it has been fine so far. It's in the shop now for brakes and oil change so I'll hear more when I pick it up. Hot summer, 95-99 degrees for a good stretch so chocked it up to that and keeping my fingers crossed it was just the heat of the summer. I will check it more often now just to make sure.
