118K check engine light on on the way to work again! Will check with code reader when I get home.

Same indicator codes.

As mentioned previously. Does it matter which code reader you use?

One of the codes says random cylinder misfire, anybody have an idea of what could cause that?

gallager007,,,,is the light coming on after you fuel up???iam wondering if maybe you have a bad seal on your gas cap...after you fuel up are you turning your cap tight,,till your hear atleast 3 clicks,,,if air is getting into your fuel system via the gas cap,,that would sure make your engine light come right on,,hope this helps you,,i know it must be aggivating

118432 Check engine light on, cold and humid.
gallager,,like i said in an earlier post...i dont know if you changed any 02 sensors,,but if the check engine light comes on in humid weather ,,theres very good chance its an 02 sensor,,,its just a matter of which one,,there are 2 on the elements,,,good luck,,and please keep us updated..btw the 02 sensors are easy to change yourself..

when (if at all) were the valves checked?

a valve or valves out of spec could cause a random misfire also.

Just an extra thought.

this thread is similar.

There is a valve adjustment how-to in the "maintenance & service" or "under the hood-performance" section....forget which. ;-)

Aprilla Guy, thanks for the tip. Does idle a bit rough, but plugs were not fouled when I took them out to look at them. Any chance that when changing the plugs I ripped the coils out too hard. Nothing in this engine is easy to pull off. The air filter cover, the coils, the oil filter, you name it. I didn't unscrew the coil wire harness when I replaced the plugs at 110k. Lots of angling to get the coils out. (about the same as pulling out the air filter)

It doesn't matter if the plugs were fouled or not....screwed up valves can cause the problems you describe (ith or without fouling plugs).

Anything is possible....ignition stuff may have gotten buggered up when replacing plugs, but I'm sure you've checked by now to be certain everything is secure.

What do the codes say? still the same codes as when it started?

update

check engine light goes on and off. Engine stalls in cold weather when first started and not warmed up(low idle), today stalled in cold and wet weather doing 55mph on highway, pretty much restarted it self(I was moving) just bucked a little and all of the lights flashed like it was turned off for a second. Haven't rechecked the code. Funny thing is, I wanted to try and trick the dealer last oil change by saying I wanted to trade it in since my check engine light was intermittent, hoping I would get a free code read and tell me all of the reasons I should get rid of it,(based on code reader results) and then lowball me on the trade in. Turns out, the salesman told me I was crazy to trade it in just because of a check engine light, told me I still had another 128K on it and to just twist the fuel cap tighter.

I was flabbergasted.

Is it possible my fuel cap is worn out, and it is causing air to leak in?
Other than that old Elly runs fine.

02 sensor trouble codes: P0130, P0136, P0140, P0142, P0146–P0167

Also:
P0040 Upstream oxygen sensors swapped from bank to bank
P0041 Downstream oxygen sensors swapped from bank to bank
P0133 Rear Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) circuit slow response

What does your code reader say?

Today, the car was clicking on and off (as if someone were turning the keys on and off real fast)on the highway like I was jumpstarting the thing. No engine abnormalities or sounds coming from the engine. Stopped at the store, left it off for a while and then the check engine light was off when I restarted it and no problems. It is kind of like I'm driving a stickshift, and the idle gets real low because when I have it in neutral, or let my foot off of the gas and it is stalling out. Then I press the gas and it turns right back on again. Always clicks off when I let my foot off of the gas pedal and start slowing down. Haven't actually checked the code reader yet. Gotta go-200 mile roundtrip to NJ to see my bro. It is 17 degrees out, and I am going to gamble it(it is a Honda-it can't break down).
Will update when I get back.
