So, my 2003 Element's dashboard "D" light is flashing. The automatic transmission, when it is in drive in other words will flash after I start it and drive for a couple of minutes. At the dealership they say I need a new ECU or some kind of Electronic control module. Then they tell me that the module itself isn't very expensive about $270 but that they want $1200 labor to install it.
This brings me to my question. Has anyone encountered this and is there a cheaper way. I love my element and don't want to get rid of it. I'm the original owner and really love this car.
