The assemblies are just that, assemblies. They have no working parts. The working parts are the bulbs themselves. When was the last time the bulbs on your E were changed? If you have no recollection, then now would be a prime time to replace them. Just remember to never touch the bulb with bare skin, always wear a powderless latex glove or use a cotton rag.

After you swap them out put the old assemblies up for sale. They are a prime candidate for the painted mod.
