Passenger Door Won't Open

After replacing the front passenger door window motor/actuator assembly, I am unable to open the door after making sure everything worked properly.

In summary, the electrical to the door door lock is working; however, the door won't unlock due to me not feeding the manual lock through the opening in the top of the door panel. Instead, the lock is trapped inside the door panel and won't unlock via my key fob or the manual unlock button on the driver's side door. I've looked down the manual door lock opening & am unable to see the door lock. I've also been unsuccessful in trying to fish for it with a coat hanger wire. Additionally, I'm unable to disassemble the door panel without destroying it due to the passenger door being closed & locked.

I'm hoping someone has a suggestion to this problem.

Thanks!

I would fold the rear seats up out of the way then unbolt the passenger seat and move that back out of the way. You should then be able to loosen the inner door panel and correct the lock rod position. It will be a pain but better than breaking something.
