I have a 2010 EX AWD with 155K. I have owned it for 3 yrs now, having owned a '08 LX AWD previously. My current E has a clunking noise coming from the rear end that is driving me crazy! I have replaced the stabilizer links, rubber bushings, and struts to no avail. I ran into a fellow E guy who told me it was a shaft in the rear differential that was about $300. I'm in Michigan and this E has lived here it's entire life, so there is a fair amount of rusty going on down there but I can find nothing loose! I've been to the local Honda dealer and was told I need to replace the struts. So I contacted the supplier(AM Auto Parts), received a replacement pair, and still had the noise. I then purchased a pair of Monroe Quick Struts, installed them and still no relief. Any ideas on where to go next?

Have you changed the Dual Pump II fluid in the rear differential ever?
When I bought Zippy in ‘08 he came with a rear end noise that presented more pronounced when in a turn... (forced the clutches to interact?)
It turned out to be contamination in dif fluid... flush and fill it went away immediately...
