Another camping setup

I recently built a camping setup in my newly bought 2006. It's very similar to (and inspired by) some existing setups I found here and on the web, like these:

I figured I'd share it anyway, since I added a table and a "futon" (my crash pad laying against the back of the reclined front seats). In the cooking setup, there's much more room than it seems from the outside. We cooked dinner for 4 in my car last week end, with everybody comfortably sitting inside. The table is the middle pannel supported by two small wooden boxes that are just the right size to hold my water jugs. I made holes in the panel so I can attach it to the bottom box.

Here are some more pictures. For non-climbers here, a crash pad (which I use as my sleeping mattress and futon) is a 4" thick foam pad used for catching falls when climbing small boulders without a rope. Conveniently, it's also pretty comfy to sleep on.

the cooking inside the car thing freaks me out, but pretty cool with the back sunroof as a vent

Climb ON

This is an awesome setup. I just got an element last month and I think I will follow your mod. Thanks!!! Also, I have been using this Metolius Magnum Crash pad from REI $325. And you can fold that bad boy into a seat.

It fits perfectly in the car. width and length wise. It's a huge pad so bouldering feels alot safer as well. =)
