Bushings at the lower control arm. Polyurethan or OEM?

I went to the technical inspection yesterday (mandatory in Germany every 2 years) and the bushings at the lower control arm should be replaced. I've heard that PU should be very hard for normal road driving (too hard for road?).
So what do you prefer (PU or OEM), what experience do you have ?

I have used polyurethane suspension bushings on my other vehicles and never had any NVH that bothered me. To be fair, the other vehicles have more sound deadening material than the Element.
I would not recommend PU bushings in anything beyond suspension though. The NVH can become obnoxious real fast.

I can not recommend the Moog solid bushings. The amount of noise/vibration/harshness was incredible. So bad I went back to stock rubber. Thats my recommendation, stock & rubber.

I only thought about the hardness, I didn't think about noises. Thanks for the hint.

That's Powerflex's slogan:

"Upgrade your Honda Element with high performance bushings, bushings that won't cause vibration or noise and include a Lifetime Warranty!

Although I insulated the doors (highly recommended for the toaster), I don't think that this will make the chassis quieter with PU.
I tend to prefer OEM.

Thank you very much.

I used polyurethane bushings in another car before, it made the steering/handling more responsive but I had also upgraded suspension components at the same time including stiffer springs and struts and sway bar, so it is hard to say how much the PU bushings helped as they likely had the least affect of all the parts I put on. But my mechanic who raced cars says yes they will take up a bit of the slop in the suspension and it will be more responsive. They wont last as long as OE rubber bushings and I noticed mine squeaked a bit.
