Does anybody have a Costco battery in their E? I am wondering if they are good. Also, does Costco have any batteries larger than a 51R that fits in the E without modification?

Costco

Yeh, but Costco is just down the road from me and easy to get to. Autozone, Sears, and all those other places are significantly further away. If Costco batteries are satisfactory, I'd go get one now (which I prefer). If not, I'll wait til my wanderings take me to other parts of town. Being the non-pleasure-related gas miser that I am.

Just compare the stock battery's cranking amps and cold cranking amps (something like that, I forget) to the ones at Costco. I bought a new battery at Wal-Mart and the numbers were superior to the stock battery. I have had the battery for almost a year now and it's still running strong. No complaints at all.

I have a costco battery and so far it seems just as good as the stock. i've had the costco batt maybe 5 months now so too soon to tell. the stock lasted me 5 years.

Regardless of how great a battery is supposed to be, I like to install a new battery every three years. Not that expensive to pretty much eliminate any "starting" surprises when you need it least.

Am planning to replace my '06 battery before this winter (Will be three years). Since I replace every three years, I don't need the latest, best $200.00 battery; however, I would like a slightly larger and slightly better battery. Anybody recommend one. As long as it's under $100.00, I'm okay with it if it's an upgrade in quality and size.

Thanks,
Greg

I've had Wal Mart and Costco batteries, they are decent batteries and have not had any problems with either. You can't beat the price, but many argue that it is not a name brand when in truth there are only a handful of battery manufacturers that make most of the batteries for all the chains to the chains specific specs.
