Does anyone know how long the Honda exhaust finisher is?

I've found an exhaust tip I like however it's listed as being 8" long and by the looks of it the tail pipe begins to bend pretty quickly --- an 8" long tip might be too long and of course I won't have the tip extending farther out than it should.

Obviously I haven't had a chance to crawl under the E and measure the tail pipe.

Does anyone know how long the Honda exhaust finisher is? I guess total length is what I'd need to know when comparing aftermarket tips.

(I brought my tape measure when I took out the trash :) )

The OEM tip is 5" from end to end, almost exactly. It sits about 1/2" past the end of the pipe, leaving 4.5" on the pipe. The pipe begins the bend about 3/4" beyond the inner edge of the tip. so I'd say the tip could extend 'forward' an inch or a little more before it actually touched the pipe's bend. Long story short, you're not going to get an 8" tip on there, unless it's wide as a coffee can. :(

Hope that helps.

Deckeader,
I cut a good portion of my tailpipe off and screwed on a Pilot tip with a square hole. Looks good and I don't have to worry about backing into a curb or log or something and crunching my exhaust system. Trust me, I did that once with my pickup and it pushed the entire exhaust to the point where it even bent the headers.
The pipe now exits below the right hand corner.
