*sigh* I would love to have remote start. I have a lazy husband and two kids under five that I have to drag out with me when I go to work in the mornings. But alas, I'm not mechanically inclined.

Anyone still going out to a cold truck in the morning? you dont have to if you get one of these... and 20 dollars of each unit sold goes to help animal rescue in the form of dogtown and the halifax humane society. there are a few more left before i will have to place the next order.

tomorrow im stopping by a local shop that installs cruise controls, after i get cruise if i have enough money im ordering one of these, then ordering an alarm ASAP wish my lx would have came with alarm :(

Don't know if Zach has covered this or not, but you better make sure that a stand alone remote start and a stand alone alarm will work together. In most cases, it is advisable to get one unit that does both.

i think this remote start just plugs right into the alarm system and works everything as one?

this unit has an activation input on it that an aftermarket alarm can control, however i recommend that if you are planning to do both you use a unit that is all in one. IE if you have an alarm already then this will work, but if you want remote start and an alarm, but have neither yet, do yourself a favor and get one unit that does everything you need it to.
