i searched the forums, but couldn't find a similar issue...

30a condenser fan fuse keeps popping after having the AC on for about 10 seconds.

i replaced the condenser fan entirely (driver's side fan), as it had gone out anyways. i have no aftermarket bits into the fuse box, nothing custom either...

anyone have this issue before and have a solution before i just start throwing money at the element?

thank you!

Per the SM, the drivers side fan is the 'radiator fan', and the passenger side is the condenser fan. Could you put an ammeter in series with the passenger side one and check the current draw? That is assuming it is spinning when you first turn on the AC and not locked up. Nothing else at all on that fuse so that motor (passenger side) is the prime suspect for now. Most unpleasant if they both went so close together but wouldn't be the first time. Good luck.

Blowing 30 amp fuse

I just had the same problem on a recent trip. Pop in a new fuse and it would run for an hour or two before blowing again. The culprit was the condenser fan motor. The fan motor is available at auto part stores or you can replace the entire fan assembly. The motor cost me $65.00

Thanks, for the info, I've been having the same issue, ac stop blowing cold a month ago, I checked relays and nothing, then today I decided to check again and noticed that 30a fuse on the diagram said condenser fan, so I pulled it out and lone behold it was poped, luckily there's an extra 30a fuse there, popped it in, and bam ac was blowing cold again, 5mins later driving home, it popped again. An instant wtf now moment, decided to look up here if anyone had same issue, and you guys feel my pain lol. Or felt. Thinking of just replacing the motor now, 90% sure I'll get oem, but what's others take on aftermarket for that particular part.
