Is there any way in hell a supercharger for the K20Z3 could fit our Element with some fabrication? I have read that the k20 intake manifold mounts are nearly identical to those on the k24 block manifolds. Can anyone attest to this?

I keep looking for a supercharger for the Element, hoping someday I will find one. Like a used Jackson Racing supercharger or Comptech header that has been discontinued.... it must be out there... somewhere...

I wish, I wish upon a star...

I put the wavetrac lsd in mine. MT AWD. Starting NA to get her running. Then gonna supercharge. Picking up a Skunk2 Ultra Street Intake Manifold today lol I’ll sell it when I buy the charger. But I’m shooting for about 260whp and I’m guessing 185 or so torque NA which is pretty sweet for the K.

I just read every single post from the beginning and now I’m dying to do this. I’m going for an offroad/overlanding build so the extra power would definitely help with the extra weight. I was worried about the automatic transmission though, I’m in a wheelchair so it has to be automatic, but I see that hasn’t been a problem for this insane build!

So wanted to update the forum since it has been about a year. The stock auto transmission could not take all the SC power and failed. I have since had the transmission rebuilt by Level 10 performance transmission shop in NJ. I also replaced the MR TVS 900 supercharger adapter plate (with an updated version) so I can now use the Merc Racing PS bracket. I also upgraded my alternator with a red Mechman brand alternator, and changed my PS pulley to a smaller black billet version. I finally have the right size 7 rib belt on and my setup is singing like sewing machine. I couldn’t be happier!

So quick update. I was having many challenges with getting ready for another dyno run. The issues included wrong size pulleys and belts for my custom supercharger setup along with a failing belt tensioner. So, I unfortunately had to cancel my dyno session planned for 10/23. I will be working on getting everything lined up and ready for a rescheduled dyno trip when appropriate in the next few months. Having young kids and recently my in-laws staying in the house has been a lot to deal with. I will keep you all updated.

Life has a way of setting our schedules … that tensioner is tight to get to but possible.

So I am working with my tuner to create a new tune for my pilgrimage to EOTD this year. My tuner is a wizard and he claims he has made me a tune that will run just fine on 87! I will just have to lay off that boost… Anyone else making the trek up to NC in May?

Me tinkering in the garage last night. Just installed a fuel pressure gauge my wife got me for Christmas. Also installed a fuel damper recently that seems to work quite well.

IC piping is not required. He has a separate “aftercooler” setup that is propriety and works with his supercharger. It was not necessary in my setup (as I was not seeking crazy power). It can be added as an upgrade later on though as needed. Engine management, injectors, and pump will all be required and are not included in the kit. There will always be ‘other bits needed’ in my experience. You may need a MR PS relocation bracket or tensioner. I had to get my TB bracket fabricated for RSX TB upgrade. I could go on and on. At the very least, I think you are looking at 7-10k depending on what you want, when you are all said and done. And that doesn’t include header or exhaust work. I used Ktuner for ECU management. Turbo is cheaper, but I wanted reliability which I why I leaned toward MR. Also Jose Mercado has a good rep in the racing community. Also wanted to do something that had never been done on a 4 speed auto with DBC. Haven’t quite seen a build like mine.

. Good to know. So ktuned using an oem piggy backed or stand alone? State inspection every 2 years so I’ll need to be able to communicate and have readiness monitors active. I have means of getting around that, but that requires a whole different element.
Also did you retain ac? Like to keep that if possible. Kraftwerks kit says you must eliminate the ac

He’s super busy. He has a regular day job and works out of his house on the side with the racing stuff. He told me he doesn’t make much money on the Honda side. (they work on Audis too). So far John and I are the only two who have taken the plunge with Merc Racing on our Elements. What is it you want to know? I may know the answer.

AWD, I just read every post since page 1. Amazing journey and awesome build, and better yet results. Congratulations on the new(ish) edition to your family! I just picked up a swivel car seat since my baby, now 1, graduated from the smaller seat (which pop right out) since a regular rear facing seat is impossible to use with our door setup. Hoping this new seat solves that issue.
Anyways you are an inspiration and thanks for all your sweat equity which made it possible for others to follow suit! I've been eyeing this kit for a while now but my E is currently undergoing a suspension overhaul. The engine will have to wait for now. Anyways congrats again on the build. Very impressive gains.

Thank you sir for the kind words. Yes, it has indeed been a journey. That suspension overhaul is so important. Was one of the first things I did and was a big investment.
