Hi,
I just bought one of these hoping to cut down on Labor but...

Want to be able to get all the old oil out without pulling drain pan bolt.

Question is, can the hose from this extractor go all the way to the bottom of the oil pan from the top of the dipstick tube???

I’ve got one of those. Most of my use is for transmission fluid on a Ford without a drain plug. If something has a drain plug, I use the plug. I sometimes wonder if that the tube hits the bottom of the pan and then curls back up.

An oil change on the K24 is supposed to be about 4.5 qts. If you get that amount out, I’d say it’s doing a good job.

Hi,
Well, I have my car, my sisters and various lawn equipment.

Probably try it for the next tranny fluid on the E.

That has always been 3 quarts out and three in, every time.

I'm not getting any younger, and if this thing will pull the oil without having to crawl under that's good.

I am tall and can get to the Filter from the top.

I put an old towel under the filter and pull it, no mess.

We shall see!

Surprised, more people aren't using these, heard now from another Forum they work good on the K24 Engine!

I have been using the exact same extractor for several years on my Audi S4 with good luck. On the Audi, I marked the extractor tube with tape at the point I want it to stop in the pan, since the pan has baffles in it, and many guys have forced the tube in too far and had a hell of a time getting it out. The Honda pan has no such baffles that I am aware of so probably not as much a concern. You will just want to learn how far to go without it curling upward. I move mine back and forth a bit under suction when it gets toward the end of the draining and you can hear it drawing or losing suction.

The advantage of an oil plug drain is to let the sludge that's accumulated at the bottom of the pan make its way out while you're off having a nice lunch. You're not going to be able to slurp up much sludge into that tube. It's gonna suck air at the end and defeat such purpose. Unless you're unable to get under the car due to a health issue, I'd just keep draining it through the oil pan.

Hi,
Well used the Extractor and worked perfectly.

Took about 20 min. to take everything out.

Put my Floor Jack under the back and raised the rear to get out all the oil I could.

Should of done this years ago!
