Needed: Mounting hardware for OEM Sidesteps

I bought a pair of 05 OEM Sidesteps off of eBay knowing that they did not come with the mounting hardware (for some reason) because they were a great deal and I thought that because Majestic had the parts listed with a price on their website that I could order them. However, like so many parts for the Element they only come as a complete kit with the steps. I have called around to a number of local dealer’s parts depts. and all have told me that the kit is the only way to get them. I asked one guy what they do if due to installation error or some other freak incident a bolt falls off how do they replace it. The parts guy asked around and checked his records and found that they order a whole new set and send back the old set of steps as defective. If anyone has any input or by some freak coincidence has the parts I need please let me know. If I can’t get these parts I'm not sure what I can do with them. I know that I could probably use standard bolts and stuff from a hardware store for some things, but there are some parts that would have to completely fabricated.
Thanks,
The J

Thanks Mike,
This was the first place I tried, and bought the steps because I knew they had this listed on the site, but I called and they can't/won't sell the hardware seperate from the steps.
Thanks anyways,

What parts are missing? If I recall the installation instructions correctly, each step has 3 brackets. One bracket comes in two parts. The other pieces are bolts, and one set of bolts has an integral rectangular 'washer'.

There was a thread a while back about those rectangular head bolts. It may have been on hondaelement.org. I believe they ended up getting a welding shop to make them a set of bolts.

I'd suggest studying the installation instructions, and then getting the parts you need from outside sources, hardware stores, machine shops, etc. It will take some hunting.

I am looking for side steps for my 04. I saw these on ebay. I considered bidding until I researched the availability of the mounting hardware. Could not find it anywhere and decided not to bid.

I suppose you could go to a mcahine shop and have them fabricate some brackets, but I suspect that the price would be more than the OEM price of approximately $300.00 which includes steps and hardware.
